17 Jan The Cost of Staying in Boise for Treatment
When a family living outside of the Treasure Valley needs treatment for their sick or injured child, there are significant costs that they have to worry about, not including medical bills. Here are some of the costs that an average family of four would incur for day and night in Boise.
Most Affordable Hotel: $75 per night
Travel: $20
Food: $30
Total: $125
The amount for just one day and night for a family with medical bills can be a huge burden. The reality is that many families stay for much longer than one night. Families’ stay ranges from a few days or a week to over 100 days in some cases, which could cause a huge financial burden.
Due to donations from members of the community just like you, families don’t have to worry about those costs. We ask that families pay $10 a night to cover some of the costs, however, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho accepts families even if they are unable to pay. Most families pay nothing to stay with us.
Consider making a donation to our Share A Night campaign today! By doing so, you will relieve a family of the financial stress that comes with getting treatment for their sick or injured child.
