The impact of COVID-19 spreads far and wide, and these are difficult times for everyone. We want you to know that all of us at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho are thinking of you and your loved ones amid this uncertainty.

We are happy to be moving forward with our annual Sporting Clays Tournament albeit a bit differently than in the past. The safety of our sponsors, participants, and volunteers is our utmost priority. In light of current social distancing, mask-wearing, and group gathering protocols, this will be a “do-it-yourself” event and our sponsors and participants will play on their own time. The format is still a 100 bird shoot at Black Dog Clays that includes your ammunition, targets, gift, and Tournament poster. You can shoot on your own or with your team. The available dates to shoot are October 3, 4, 7, 8, 10 & 11 and you can indicate your preference when you register.

While we will miss the typical comradery of people gathering, we are excited to still be able to raise essential funds to support the families and children we serve. If you are not able to participate this year, non-player sponsorships are also available or you can make a donation online. You can also donate an auction item for our online auction.

Sporting Clays is the closest thing to actual field shooting of all shotgun sports. Rather than having clay birds thrown from standardized distances and angles as with skeet or trap, sporting clays courses are designed to simulate the hunting of ducks, pheasants, other upland birds, and even rabbits.

Tournament will be held rain or shine.

Buck-A-Bird

Pledge $1.00 per bird that you break during your Tournament round to help keep families together and close to the medical care their children need. You can also get donations from friends and family through our peer to peer fundraising platform. Anyone who raised $500 will be entered into a prize drawing.
