Each year as the summer winds down, back-to-school shopping comes up before you know it. Kids returning to school need new folders, pencils, and much more.

For Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho, we have our own type of back to school shopping. August is a chance for us to stock up on items that families need at the House or for their child returning to school.

It’s not easy for a family to travel to Boise to receive treatment for their sick child. Not only do they need housing and food, but many times supporting families for their traveling costs or other items needed during that time are critical.

This year when you are doing back-to-school shopping for your children, we ask that you consider picking up a few items that are needed for the families staying at the Idaho Ronald McDonald House… backpacks and supplies, gas cards, and grocery gift cards are among a few things that can make a huge difference while they gear up for the school year with a sick child in the hospital. Donations can be delivered to the Idaho Ronald McDonald House between 9am and 8pm any day of the week (including weekends).
