Turner Family Story

My husband and I are so grateful for the RMHC! When it was discovered that our son had a small bowel obstruction and needed emergency surgery we weren’t sure what to do. We were living in Ontario, OR at the time and were transferred to St Luke’s Childrens in Downtown Boise. We were unsure where to go as we could not afford a hotel and being an hour away from a child in the Pediatric ICU was not something I could bear as a mother. The staff at St. Luke’s was very accommodating and mentioned the Ronald McDonald House and set up for us to stay there while our son JJ was in the hospital.

The generosity and thankfulness that we feel for the RMHC cannot be expressed through any words we can say. The home cooked meals that were served and the volunteers that were there were so helpful to us. All I can say is thank you to all who make RMHC possible, because without them a terrifying time in our life would have been made worse had we not had the fortune of staying there. To fellow families; keep taking it one step at a time, and allow yourself a chance to sit and breathe. Revel in the little victories, and keep moving forward.
