RMHC of Idaho Growth Update: March
Each month, we will be updating you on all our expansion news, including updates on the new Ronald McDonald House in Boise and the Ronald McDonald Family Room in Idaho Falls.
Ronald McDonald House® Expansion Update
Despite February’s wet weather, Engineered Structures, Inc. (ESI) has been working hard to stay on schedule with the House construction, even working weekends. Currently, they are working on excavation and pouring foundation for the building. We anticipate that by the end of March, all of the foundation will be poured and construction of the House will begin! Don’t forget, you can track the construction progress in real-time by visiting our live camera feed.
We are continuing to work towards our fundraising goal of $15.3 million and are now at $9.8 million raised, leaving $5.5 million. Help us reach our goal and donate today. There are still naming opportunities available, so make sure to check those out.
Ronald McDonald Family Room® Expansion Update
We are still in the process of interviewing and selecting contractors for construction of the Family Room. We expect construction will start in the beginning of April.
On March 4, 5, and 6, we will be partnering with local Eastern Idaho media for the first annual “Fundraising for Families” event in support of the Family Room. This three day fundraiser will include live radio takeovers, television spots, and newspaper advertisements in Eastern Idaho to help us spread the word about this exciting project. Everyone is encouraged to participate by making donations toward the Ronald McDonald Family Room construction. To make a donation, text the amount you’d like to give to 208-721-9077 or make a donation online. Also, be sure to follow our website and social media for updates throughout those three days!
Of the initial $766,000 goal, about $515,000 has been raised with around $250,000 remaining. To kick off the first annual “Fundraising for Families” campaign, Fluor Idaho has generously made a leading gift of $10,000.
Check back next month for new updates on our expansion efforts!
