RMHC of Idaho Growth Update: June
Each month, we will be updating you on all our expansion news, including updates on the new Ronald McDonald House in Boise and the Ronald McDonald Family Room in Idaho Falls.
Ronald McDonald House® Expansion Update
Things are moving quickly as construction continues on the new 47-room Ronald McDonald House. While much of the rain over the past month posed some challenges, we’re still on track and ESI is working hard to keep everything moving. Now that the building is closed in, a lot of work is taking place on the interior. Details for the interior of the House are continuing to be finalized, with the wall coverings, carpet and paint being ordered in the near future. We’ll be giving you a tour of the new House construction site on Wednesday June 12th through a Facebook livestream, so be sure to like our page and tune in around 9 a.m.!
As fundraising efforts continue, we’re now sitting at $10.4 million raised thanks to some new donors, including Scentsy, the Kyle family and Blue Cross of Idaho. An updated major donor list, including inkind donations, is available on our website. Also, be sure to mark your calendars for Friday, September 13th, the date of Scentsy’s Rock-A-Thon benefiting our Room For Every Family campaign.
Ronald McDonald Family Room® Update
Framing for the Family Room is now complete, and the drywall will be finished by next week. Look out for a video tour of the space in the next couple weeks.
We’re on track for a late summer open date – only a few months away! In preparation for the space to open soon, two listening sessions were held for those interested in becoming Family Room volunteers. If anyone is interested in volunteer opportunities with our Family Room program, email Warren Maxfield at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We’re also excited to announce another program expansion. This July, we’ll be deploying a third Happy Wheels Hospitality Cart in the Magic Valley. Stay tuned for more information about this exciting news.
Check back next month for new updates on our expansion efforts!
