The 47-room Idaho Ronald McDonald House serves families with seriously ill or injured children being treated at a Boise area medical facility. At the House, families have a warm, comfortable place to sleep, eat, and find support, care, understanding and compassion from staff, volunteers and other families staying at the House.
The 40,000 square foot House is across the street from St. Luke’s and a short drive from Saint Alphonsus, allowing families to stay near their ill or injured child. While doctors are focused on taking care of their kids, RMHC of Idaho is focused on taking care of the family.
The Ronald McDonald Family Room in Idaho Falls provides comfort and support to families with ill or injured kids receiving medical care at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC). The Family Room has 4 sleep rooms, a kitchen, laundry facilities, and more and is located inside the walls of EIRMC.
At the Family Room, families with ill or injured kids have a home-like environment just steps from their child. Any family with a ill or injured child at EIRMC is able to use the Family Room, whether they live right in Idaho Falls or have traveled from another area.
Designed to serve families who wait for hours without leaving the hospital or their child’s bedside, the Hospitality Carts provide a bit of comfort as they travel the hallways of Saint Alphonsus and St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital in Boise, as well as St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center. The carts bring parents a hot beverage and snack while keeping the little ones entertained with books, fun activities, and toys.
Parents don’t know when their children will need medical help. But they should know they can always access the care they need. And with your help, we can support them all throughout their journey.
