The Richards Family Wish List Drive

Just a few years ago, the Richards family received news that their daughter, Madison, had cancer. With Madison’s treatment being in Boise, the Richards would need a place to stay for the battle that was to come.

The Idaho Ronald McDonald House was the perfect place for them. By staying at the House they were able to remain together and support each other through Madison’s treatment. Due to generous donations, no family is ever required to pay for their time spent with us. The Richards however did more than simply cover their night stays.

Madison’s siblings Chloe and Dawson decided to organize a wish list drive for the Idaho Ronald McDonald House during December and January. They designed the drive to have a giving tree set up at the House and as people donated the wish list items, they were invited to take home one of the ornaments from the giving tree.

The drive was a great success. People donated a variety of items including cleaning products, food, items for our welcome bags, and much more.

Chloe and Dawson understood the value that the House was able to bring to their sister and parents. It allowed them to stay together through one of the toughest times their family had experienced. They wanted to give back in any way possible and did so in an amazing manner.

Thank you Chloe and Dawson for your support and love for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho.
