Checking In and Supporting Each Other: COVID-19 Resources

This pandemic has impacted every single person in some way, and it’s important that we regularly check in with each other. Many families are finding themselves in new and scary situations, feeling lost, fearful, stressed, confused, anxious, and everything in between. The RMHC team is feeling this, too, so we decided to compile a few resources to share with you. We hope some of these might bring you comfort as you navigate this uncertainty.
We’d also love to hear your own experiences and ideas. Don’t hesitate to reach out through email or on social media. There are so many unknowns out there, but one thing we know for sure is that we will get through this together.

Coping with Stress

COVID-19 has caused many of us to experience significant and unexpected changes in our lives, creating a lot of stress and anxiety. Here are some resources to help you focus on self-care during this stressful time:

Parenting

Parenting during the Coronavirus crisis can pose many challenges. There is a lot to worry about and we’re all learning as we go. We want you to know that you’re not alone in this.

“When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘look for the helpers, you will always find people who are helping.'” ~ Fred Rogers.
Without the “helpers” these scary times would be much scarier. Thank you for all you do to help families in need. We hope these resources will also help your and your family. Please feel free to reach out to us via email or on social media and share your own thoughts. As always, be safe and stay healthy.
