SUMMARY:Idaho Bowl
DESCRIPTION:The Idaho Bowl is proud to partner with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho — an organization that provides housing\, meals\, transportation\, and emotional support for families with critically ill or injured children receiving medical care in Ada County. \nIn just two years\, the Idaho Bowl has quickly become one of RMHC Idaho’s largest community contributors of material goods\, helping families stay close to their children during their most challenging moments. \nThis event is held in memory of Hank Anderson\, the son of close friends of the Idaho Bowl director. Hank was born with Hypoplastic Right Heart Syndrome\, a rare heart defect\, in June 2021 and passed away in December of that year while awaiting a heart transplant. During their seven-month stay in Salt Lake City for Hank’s treatment\, his parents — originally from Boise — received crucial support from Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho. \nFar from home and their local support system\, RMHC provided the Andersons with housing\, warm meals\, transportation\, laundry services\, toys for Hank\, and emotional support — all free of charge. This allowed them to remain fully focused on their son without the overwhelming financial burden of extended medical care away from home. \nThe Idaho Bowl proudly honors Hank’s memory and the strength of families like his.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for our 2026 J.R. Simplot Golf Tournament benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho on Thursday\, September 10 at Falcon Crest Golf Club.  \nThe Event: The one day\, four-person scramble will have a 9:00 am start. A boxed lunch and snacks will be served on the course. There will be contests on the holes to make the round fun for all skill levels. Golfers are invited to the 19TH Hole Cocktail Reception immediately following their round of golf. Come and enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. \nThe Location: Falcon Crest Golf Club\, Kuna\, ID \nThe Cause: Since 1988\, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho has provided a safe\, comfortable place to stay for thousands of families whose children are hospitalized or receiving treatment for an illness or injury. The generosity of everyone involved in the J.R. Simplot Memorial Golf Tournament helps keep families together and close to the medical care their children need. All proceeds from this event are used locally to support Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho programs. The “Hearts and Hope” is more than just a gala; it is an event to raise funds to support families with children facing health challenges.
