DESCRIPTION:Join us for a beautiful race along the Eagle section of the Greenbelt. The Treasure Valley Rescue Run starts and finishes at Reid Merrill Park. There are 5K & 10K course options with a FREE Kids Dash! There will be finisher medals for all registered racers and winner prizes. T-shirts available for 5k and 10k racers. This race is stroller and dog friendly!

SUMMARY:Idaho Bowl
DESCRIPTION:The Idaho Bowl is proud to partner with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho — an organization that provides housing\, meals\, transportation\, and emotional support for families with critically ill or injured children receiving medical care in Ada County. \nIn just two years\, the Idaho Bowl has quickly become one of RMHC Idaho’s largest community contributors of material goods\, helping families stay close to their children during their most challenging moments. \nThis event is held in memory of Hank Anderson\, the son of close friends of the Idaho Bowl director. Hank was born with Hypoplastic Right Heart Syndrome\, a rare heart defect\, in June 2021 and passed away in December of that year while awaiting a heart transplant. During their seven-month stay in Salt Lake City for Hank’s treatment\, his parents — originally from Boise — received crucial support from Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho. \nFar from home and their local support system\, RMHC provided the Andersons with housing\, warm meals\, transportation\, laundry services\, toys for Hank\, and emotional support — all free of charge. This allowed them to remain fully focused on their son without the overwhelming financial burden of extended medical care away from home. \nThe Idaho Bowl proudly honors Hank’s memory and the strength of families like his.
